Colliers International Broward County Office Market Reports | Fourth Quarter 2020
Class A Office Delivery in the Midst of the Pandemic Offers New Quality Space in Broward County
The Broward County office market has performed better than expected based on pandemic woes, however, the true impact of the pandemic remains unclear. In the midst of it all, The Main Las Olas completed this quarter delivering 385,000 square feet of Class A space to the Downtown Fort Lauderdale office submarket. This significant new delivery, along with increasing sublease space, affords tenants the opportunity to upgrade from their current office space and helps to attract new-to-market tenants seeking quality office space. Prior to completion, Akerman, Berger Singerman, BBX Capital, Stiles, Templeton Company all pre-leased space at The Main. The delivery marks the first Class A office tower in downtown in 10 years. It’s also the first two tower building and offers a lot of post-COVID desirable features such as 10 ft ceilings which brings in more light and a dedicated outdoor space.
